Danielle Dichting Busbee started her path with horses in Australia at the age of 7. At 9, her family spent the year in the states and she rode within the hunter/jumper disciplines, before returning back overseas at 10. The family moved to England for the next five years and Dani describes this time has when she found her base… her foundation of riding and ultimately her love for Eventing.
During High School, she competed solely in the Eventing ranks, working her way through Prelim and Intermediate. She competed for Area III at NAJYRC in 2006, 2008, and in 2010, finished with the individual bronze and team gold medals. After top 10 finished in several international CCI** and CIC*** events, Dani was selected to the Developing Riders Under 25 program in 2013 and 2014 to ride with USA team coach David O’Connor. She is now working her way back up the levels with some promising young horses in hopes to represent the USA in future events.
Her riding experience is important… her approach to the student is equally so! Quiet and measured always brings the best out of the horse or rider. Her teaching style continues to be molded, just has her riding continues to be developed under some of the best influences in the world. Eventers Julie Richards, Phillip Dutton, David O’Connor. Dressage Suzanne King, Gunnar Ostergaard and Show Jumpers Lauren Hough and Stephen Hadley.
